ABOUT MANHATTAN BEACH:
Manhattan Beach is known as one of the most likely places to see a great white shark in LA County - but they’re usually just babies when they visit! Juveniles hang out near the pier in colder months seeking warm water, food, and safety from larger predators after migrating from central California. Bigger adults can sometimes migrate all the way to Hawaii and can reliably be found wherever the elephant seals are during the summer, like at Año Nuevo State Park north of Santa Cruz. Sharks are a sign of a healthy ecosystem & unprovoked attacks are very rare - respect them & they’ll respect you!
